The Belmont maintenance department consists of three operating entities:
- Zone 1: Maintains all residential facilities.
- Zone 2: Maintains academic and administrative facilities.
- Skilled Trades: Performs specialized work in HVAC, locks and doors, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical trades.
Maintenance staff are on campus from 7 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. seven days a week. During off-hours maintenance staff responds to emergencies reported to Campus Security.

Priorities on work orders are set according to four categories. These categories are in order: life safety, building damage, building comfort, everything else.

- Manages more than thirty contractors on campus.
- Works on 43 campus elevators!
- Performs exterior lighting inspections every Monday and Thursday night.
- On average each maintenance employee maintains over 125,000 square feet of building space.
- Provides steam for heating and hot water to fourteen buildings from the central boiler plant.
- Changes over 2,000 light bulbs per year.
- Changes 7,068 air conditioning filters per year.
