Belmont ATL Internship Program: Atlanta
Belmont ATL combines academic and experiential learning in the heart of Atlanta with an internship at a professional company. Renowned for its world-famous hip-hop culture and historical significance in the Civil Rights movement, Atlanta is a perfect location to establish robust industry connections and gain invaluable real-life professional experiences.
You will complete general education and major specific courses while working at your internship and living in Atlanta for a semester. Courses are taught by Belmont University faculty and local industry executives serving as adjunct faculty.
Program Curriculum
You will take two to three courses concurrently with your internship. You will be required to take the onsite Entertainment and Culture of Atlanta course, which covers a variety of topics, such as the Hip-Hop Music Industry, Atlanta Music Business Culture, Music Industry Networking, and the Atlanta Civil Rights History and Movements. A selection of Belmont courses will be available online including: Third Year Writing, Junior Cornerstone, and a selection of courses in your major or for BELL Core/General Education credit.
Specific course information can be found on the program's page on Belmont Global under Academics

Student Testimonials
Kelly White '23 | Music Business
" Growing up in Atlanta shaped so much of who I am and has been the main influence guiding my career. My passion for hip-hop flourished in the city, having an amazing experience being an intern at Patchwerk Recording Studios. Working in such a legendary studio with so many talented, hardworking creatives furthered my love of being in the studio which led me to working on the A&R team at Prescription Songs now. Atlanta holds such a special place in my heart, and I am so grateful to have spent time in such a vibrant musical and cultural hub."
Kate Lackey '17 |Theatre Performance
"Atlanta is booming, especially for the entertainment industry. There are 90 projects set to film in Atlanta this year, including the new Superman movie, Amazon limited series The Bondsman starring Kevin Bacon, ABC’s Will Trent, and even Disney’s live action Moana. And all of these projects are going to need capable and hungry interns who want to learn more."
