Our nurses administer allergy injections in the clinic under the direction of the patient’s allergist and our certified nurse practitioners. We are not an allergy clinic and do not perform allergy testing. We can provide patients with a list of local allergists to start the process. Allergy injection fee is $4 per vial/shot.
How to begin receiving allergy shots:
- Have your allergist fill out the “New Allergy Patient Forms.”
- Call our clinic at 615.460.5506 to schedule for your first allergy shot in our clinic
- Bring all paperwork and vials to your first appointment
All patients are required to wait 20-30 minutes in our waiting room based on allergist instructions. We will provide patients with a timer and they will be required to stay in our waiting room to monitor for an allergic reaction.
We have the following equipment available, under the supervision of a nurse practitioner, to treat acute allergic reactions:
- Epinephrine
- Oxygen
- Benadryl
- Albuterol nebulizer
- IV fluids
- Immediate access to campus security who will dispatch 911 in an emergency
