"Spending four years sharpening my discipline at Belmont's Department of Theatre & Dance certainly set me up for success. I'm always pulling from the toolbox I gained at Belmont, and am every day grateful for the hard work and dedication put forth by the faculty during my time there."

"Belmont University's College of Music and Performing Arts offered me numerous unique opportunities through practicums and access to top-notch industry speakers. These experiences planted the seeds that helped me grow into the music educator I am today. The encouragement I received from the professors after graduation sustained me through the challenging early years of my teaching career. Arts education is crucial for young people, teaching them how to connect with others and work towards common goals as a team. The longer I teach, the more passionate I become about prioritizing the arts in schools. Without developing critical thinkers who can appreciate beauty, we would be depriving young people of joy in their lives."

"My experience as a musical theatre major has not been easy. There have been moments of regret and restlessness, nevertheless I believe a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor and through those moments I was about to find joy in performing and making long lasting, and meaningful relationships with other talented individuals.

I choose to study musical theatre because I have a passion to encourage an audience through storytelling, engage them in a way that allows them to laugh or cry and feel free and accepted to feel those emotions, and to entertain people again and again and again. In today's time, we need actors willing to do those things and more and I knew I want to hone that craft to be the best ME that I could be."

"Throughout my career, I get asked a lot how I'm able to sing/speak such demanding material eight times a week, remain healthy, and sing so consistently. I always say how grateful I am for Belmont CMPA because they provided me with such a solid foundation of vocal technique. They simultaneously engrained proper vocal technique, celebrated my individuality, and provided me with countless opportunities to focus on strengthening my weaknesses. I fell in love with continuously growing into a well-rounded, multi-skilled performer thanks to my CMPA experience."
