August 12 - Counselors Summit
An on-campus lunch will be offered to school counselors and community partners to outline scholarship program guidelines and to overview the recruitment timeline and selection process.
August 12 - Candidate Interest Submission
Students must meet with their school counselor to indicate their desire to be considered for the Bell Tower scholarship program. School counselors will then submit a candidate interest form on behalf of the student. Interest forms should be submitted by October 15 in order to have all other application materials in by the scholarship application deadline.
August 16 - Virtual Open House
An online information session will be hosted by Belmont University to learn more about the scholarship program, application process and timeline. Parents are also encouraged to participate. (Virtual invitation, registration and access instructions to follow.)
September 20 - Virtual Information Session

October 15 - Application Submission Deadline
Eligible students must submit the application for 2025 undergraduate admission and all materials to be considered for the Bell Tower Scholarship.
Interviews Held at Participating High Schooks - November 1-30
Selected applicants will be invited to interview with the Scholarship Committee. Interviews will be held in-person at the high schools.
November 2 - Belmont Preview Day
Interested Candidates and their families are highly encouraged to attend Preview Day to learn more about Belmont University. Sessions will cover everything from academics to student life.

January 21 - Candidate Day
Selected candidates come to Belmont for a campus tour, meet current Bell Tower Scholars, faculty and staff members, and participate in group processing activities with all high schools.
February 14 - Scholarship Notifications
Decisions for selected Bell Tower Scholars will be announced, and decision letters will be distributed to each high school within the first two weeks of February.
April 4 - On-Boarding Event
All new Scholars are required to attend. Key announcements and action steps for the Bell Tower program will be discussed.
April 5 - Be Belmont Day
An invitation-only event for all Fall 2025 admitted seniors held at Belmont. All new Scholars are required to attend. Key announcements and action steps for the Bell Tower program will be discussed.
April 15 - Decision Day
Selected Bell Tower Scholars must confirm acceptance of their scholarship offer.
April/Early May - On-Boarding Event
All new Scholars are required to attend. Key announcements and action steps for the Bell Tower program will be discussed.
Application Checklist
- Candidate Interest Submission from School Counselor:
Interest form should include:- Official high school transcript (minimum GPA: 3.00 weighted)
- Bell Tower supplemental essay responding to the prompt: “Why are you interested in the Bell Tower scholarship program? Include reflections on your academic and future career goals, how you feel the scholarship program components will help you throughout your college journey and what you hope to contribute to the scholarship program and Belmont University.”
- Belmont University Undergraduate Degree-Seeking Application for Fall 2025: Candidates with a submitted interest form from their school counselor will receive an application fee waiver. They may submit their admission application without paying the application fee.
- School Counselor or High School Principal Recommendation: This item will be submitted as a part of the standard application for admission
- Official ACT/SAT test score: Belmont University is test optional for Fall 2025. Applicants may choose to waive this requirement.
- By February 1: FAFSA submission (if eligible) Financial need is considered when reviewing scholarship applications. All eligible citizens and non-citizens must submit the FAFSA as soon as possible. The FAFSA should be available by October 2024 (subject to change based upon the U.S. Department of Education).
