“My Belmont experience has been highly transformational so far. The person I was before coming to Belmont was entirely different than the person I have become in my short time here. I am much more confident in who I am and what I can do, I have made lasting friendships that continue to make me a better person, given me opportunities to continue to grow as a leader, and become a better person. For me Belmont symbolizes personal growth, where I also have an opportunity to learn more about my degree field, what opportunities are there for me in the future, and making both personal and professional connections that are going to last a lifetime.”

“My Belmont college experience has been so full and beautiful in so many ways. I get to wake up every day to a beautiful, safe on-campus apartment full of some of my dearest friends. I get to collaborate with professors who know my name and care about my wellbeing to foster an unmatched, well-rounded nursing education. Even though I am not in a creative major, I get to use my creative talents all the time because of Belmont’s rich artistic culture. I get to ride a Ferris Wheel on our main lawn on a random Wednesday because my administration cares about my mental health. It all boils down to the community.”

“It's okay to not know everything before coming to college because I can ensure you that Belmont will be a place where you'll have ample opportunities to explore, learn and grow. Embrace the journey of discovering new passions and interests. Stay curious, stay open-minded, and don't hesitate to seek guidance from professors, advisors and peers. Remember, college is not just about acquiring knowledge; it's also about developing critical thinking skills, building relationships and discovering your place in the world. So, don't worry if you don't have everything figured out yet. Trust the process and enjoy the ride.”

"I chose Belmont for the Music Business program that was offered here. As I was doing my research, I found that Belmont was the only university that offered a specific program to pursue working in the music industry. In addition to that, I loved the different opportunities that could be offered if I chose Belmont as the faculty members here are very interconnected in the industry and could offer a lot of future opportunities post grad. The university also gives students the chance to explore other passions and interests outside of their own major, which I found very appealing to an individual that wasn't quite sure where she wanted to go but wanted to try a lot of different routes."

“Campus life is homey. I truly never feel alone with the friends I’ve made here and we all have enjoyed activities that Belmont provided. Our favorite thing that would fall under campus life is the movies that are put on in the Johnson Center theater. Belmont just truly feels like home and not just a school.”

“I like how Belmont is a traditional four-year school but also focuses on the arts, where you can be surrounded by creative people. Also how you’re a student here, not just a number.”

“Two of my favorite classes are my music ensembles, Jazzmin and Chorale. They coincidentally go hand in hand with two of my favorite faculty members, Kate Paradise and Dr. Jeffery Ames. There's nothing I love more than getting to make music with my friends, and I have met some of my best friends through these groups. I have grown immensely as a musician in these groups. These professors have been incredible support systems and role models that I look up to and hope to be like.”
