Belmont Online Application

Depending on how many college courses you may have already taken, we require official transcripts to be submitted. You can use the guidelines listed below.

Applicants with 24 hours or more of transferable college credit:

We’ll need an official college transcript from each institution you’ve attended. Have your college’s Registrar’s Office send original documents, in a sealed envelope, directly to Belmont University's Office of Admissions:

Belmont University
Adult Degree Program Admissions
c/o Michael Waters
1900 Belmont Boulevard
Nashville, TN 37212

We also accept electronic transcripts through secure sites such as: Parchment

Applicants with no college credit or less than 24 hours of transferable college credit:

If you’ve earned fewer than 24 college-level credits, have your high school send us your official high school transcript. We’ll need original documents.

Your official transcript needs to arrive at our Belmont University’s Office of Admissions unopened and have:

  • Your date of graduation
  • School's official signature
  • Seal affixed to the envelope

If you didn't complete high school, but took the GED or HiSet instead, submit an official copy of your test results to show you passed. Belmont accepts HiSET scores of 15 out of 20 on sub-scores and a minimum of 4/6 on the essay.

High School Transcripts and GED/HiSet test results can be sent to:

Belmont University
Adult Degree Program Admissions
c/o Michael Waters
1900 Belmont Boulevard
Nashville, TN 37212

We also accept electronic transcripts through secure sites such as: Parchment

Email the confidential recommendation form from within the online application process to someone who knows you well (i.e. a professor/advisor from the most recent school you attended, an employer or your pastor), but not a relative. The person will submit the form online.

Submit a personal essay through the online application process (maximum of two pages typewritten) describing how the program will assist you in your personal and/or professional aspirations.

If you are an international student, you’ll have additional application requirements. An international student is based on citizenship. A student is considered international if they are not a U.S. citizen or if they do not have permanent resident status.
