Belmont faculty member recognized for outstanding contributions to pharmacy practice, research and service

The Belmont University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences is proud to announce that Dr. Traci Poole, director of community practice advancement and associate professor of pharmacy, has been named a Fellow of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) — one of the highest honors in the profession. This recognition is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in pharmacy practice, research and service to the profession. 

Poole’s selection as an APhA Fellow is a testament to her exceptional dedication to the fieldDr. Traci Poole and her commitment to advancing pharmacy through leadership, education and advocacy. As an esteemed faculty member in Belmont’s School of Pharmacy, she brings unparalleled expertise and experience to the classroom. Her contributions to the profession not only elevate the standard of pharmacy practice but also inspire the next generation of pharmacists to come. 

“Dr. Poole has been a constant advocate for the profession, pharmacists and our students,” said Pharmacy Practice Department Chair Dr. Amy Henneman. “Her innovative approach to practice and willingness to think outside the box serve as a model to our students of what can be. We are so proud Dr. Poole has received this honorable distinction.”
