Biography
Richard Lyn-Cook, MD, MBA, MPH is a Med-Peds physician and Associate Professor at the Frist College of Medicine (FCoM) in Nashville. A graduate of Yale College and Yale Medical School, he completed his residency and a general medicine fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and later earned an MBA from Texas A&M.
Dr. Lyn-Cook previously served as a Regional Medical Director at Aledade, a leading technology and healthcare company, where he contributed to the success of several ACOs practicing high quality value-based care. Prior to that, he was a Medical Director at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he was involved in medical student and resident education and spearheaded initiatives to streamline clinician workflows.
With a focus on health systems improvement, value-based care, and leadership in healthcare, Dr. Lyn-Cook now teaches Health Systems Science at FCoM and facilitates case-based and simulation-based learning for medical students.
