Biography
Richard Lyn-Cook is a Med-Peds physician who attended Yale College followed by Yale Medical School. He completed both his residency and a general medicine fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. Prior to joining Belmont, he worked at Aledade, a technology and healthcare company that engaged in high quality value-based care by operating multiple successful ACOs across the country. Before Aledade, Dr. Lyn-Cook was a medical director at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and a preceptor in the Med-Peds continuity clinic. Dr. Lyn-Cook taught medical students, residents, advanced practice providers and fellow faculty in a range of topics including health systems improvement, evidence-based medicine, patient focused primary care, vaccinations, musculoskeletal medicine, value-based care, technology-based solutions for documentation overload and simplifying workflows to enhance practice efficiency. Dr. Lyn-Cook has also worked in community-based and private practice settings in Houston and the Bronx and has an enduring interest in medical education, population health, and social determinants of health.
