Peter Huwe

Biography

Dr. Peter Huwe received his Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry from Mississippi College and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship in Structural Bioinformatics and Cancer Biology at the Fox Chase Cancer Center. Prior to joining the faculty at Frist College of Medicine, he held faculty positions at Thomas Jefferson University, the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, and Mercer University School of Medicine. He is a passionate educator with expertise in Medical Biochemistry, Medical Genetics, and Cancer Biology. His primary scholarship interests are in the fields of Molecular Modeling and Medical Education. Peter and his wife Megan are the proud parents of a toddler named Charlie and an infant named Hana. Peter loves listening to audiobooks (many genres, but mostly fantasy or nonfiction) and podcasts (on news, law, economics, politics, and theology), discovering good restaurants, and spending time with his family.
