Biography
Kristian Dambrino (she, her, hers) is an ANCC Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, with extensive experience treating diverse patient populations with severe and persistent mental illness across the lifespan. Having worked as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in Davidson County’s Crisis Stabilization Unit, Dambrino prioritizes depth and sensitivity when prescribing for marginalized populations impacted by environmental stressors and acute crises. Dambrino understands that there is no template for a human being, and that all mental health diagnoses, regardless of symptoms, are often impacted by complex trauma, and embraces a trauma-informed care model in treating her patients.
An Enneagram 7 and Francophone with a passion for travel, performing and composing jazz music, public speaking and nursing innovation, Dambrino designed and developed an ANCC board-compliant graduate nursing course, Foundations in Psychopharmocology, for a graduate nursing school in Colorado. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Belmont University College of Nursing, and is a guest lecturer for Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, has served as faculty at Michigan State University and Marian University, and is licensed as psychiatric nurse practitioner in Tennessee. She has a passion for volunteering for The Oasis Center, The Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee (now Renewed), Rotary International, Project C.U.R.E., Habitat for Humanity, and Nashville International Center for Empowerment in resettling refugees in Middle Tennessee.
