Biography
Dr. Sternberg earned her Master of Science in Nursing in 2000 from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and has over 23 years of practice experience as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. She completed her DNP from Belmont University in May 2024 and joined Belmont graduate nursing faculty in Fall 2024. Her scholarly project and her continuing research interests are focused on health equity for marginalized populations and social determinants of health. She is fluent in Spanish and has practiced and advocated for health equity in marginalized and diverse patient populations throughout her career as a nurse practitioner. She is passionate about teaching new generations of nurses in the classroom and in the clinical setting as they develop competence, navigate the challenges and opportunities of the healthcare system, and learn to thrive in their careers.
