Biography

Dawn Zwart is a seasoned healthcare education leader with a passion for enhancing simulation-based learning experiences. Currently serving as Director of Operations at Belmont University, she provides strategic vision and operational oversight to the Simulation Center, driving efficiency and quality. With previous roles including Simulation Lab Manager at Meharry Medical College and Simulation Coordinator at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, Dawn has experience in curriculum development, faculty training, and simulation technology integration. Her background as a Healthcare Simulation Specialist at Blackhawk Technical College underscores her commitment to excellence in healthcare education. She is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Operation Specialist (CHSOS) and has presented at numerous conferences on simulation pedagogy and program planning. Throughout her career, Dawn has demonstrated exemplary leadership, serving on various boards and committees to drive innovation and improvement in healthcare education.

  • Description: Presentation on the collaboration between Blackhawk Technical College and Monroe Clinic in planning a simulation lab resources to be used by both institutions

  • Description: Presentation on the various needs for setting up multi-site simulation centers for organizations.
