Biography

Brad Gioia is a distinguished educational leader with a career spanning over three decades. He served as Headmaster of Darlington School in Rome, Georgia from 1988 to 1994. In 1994, he became Headmaster of Montgomery Bell Academy (MBA) in Nashville, Tennessee, a position he held until 2023. During his 29-year tenure at MBA, Gioia worked to ensure that the mission of the school was felt in every aspect of the institution.

In addition to his roles as headmaster, Gioia has been a Partner at School Strategic Leadership since January 1994, advising schools across the country on governance, leadership, and flourishing school communities. In 2023, he assumed the position of Educator in Residence at Belmont University, continuing his lifelong commitment to education and leadership.
