Biography
Amy Hodge moved to Nashville in 2002 from the great state of Missouri to pursue graduate studies in Vocal Pedagogy at Belmont. Falling in love with Nashville and finding ongoing purpose and opportunities at Belmont, she has been here ever since! She currently serves as Assistant Budget Manager and Program Assistant to the School of Occupational Therapy. In this role, Amy enjoys creating and streamlining processes, overseeing financial needs, and coordinating the course registration process.
Most of Amy’s professional experience at Belmont has been spent serving as Director and Vocal Coordinator of Belmont Academy, the community and pre-college music program on our campus. Amy continues to teach students through Belmont Academy and privately. She has been a recognized teacher of the year by the Tennessee Governor’s School of the Arts multiple years and occasionally adjudicates when needed for various festivals and contests. Her interest in vocal health and prevention is further enhanced with her partnerships and work with occupational therapy faculty and students.
As a first-generation college graduate who found her higher education experiences transformative, Amy has a heart for helping students find and access these same experiences. Outside of Belmont and her students, Amy enjoys balancing her time with her 3 very active children and husband. Overall, Amy enjoys seeing others succeed and being a part of their story in whatever way she can.
