Why This Program?
The Meeting and Event Planning Certificate program gives participants an overview of the many facets of the industry while exploring the details of successful event planning. Whether you are just getting started or have years of experience you will practice skills, gain resources and add connections on your way to becoming a successful event professional.
Meeting and Event Planning Certificate classes are taught by members of the Tennessee chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPITN), each with their own area of expertise. This five-session program will provide you the skills you need to work more effectively and efficiently whether you are responsible for planning meetings or events in healthcare, non-profit, a governmental agency, public corporation, a privately held company or your own business venture.
By completing the program you will earn the Clock Hours required by the Events Industry Council to sit for the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) exam. CMP application and exam fees are not included in the Meeting and Event Planning program fee.
